Mass Effect 3 to get “Extended Cut” ending DLC

It’s been no secret that fans of Mass Effect have been having a bit of a fit on the net about the ending of Mass Effect 3. It was so bad at one point that BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka announced that BioWare would work on addressing people issues with the ending.

Now today we have further details as to what exactly he meant by “content initiatives” as BioWare has announced that the game will be getting a free DLC content pack named “Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut. The Extended cut DLC will be available for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this summer. The extended cut promises “additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes” and will remain free for Two years after it launches.

I’m not sure where I stand on this whole “change Mass Effect 3’s ending” deal but I can at least say I’m happy that they are giving the DLC away for free rather than charging customers for it.
