Han Shot First… The Controversy Continues

Han gets it...why doesn't Lucas get it.

You Know what George Lucas…. I try to defend you, I try to forgive the utter disaster of the prequels and then you go and do something so utterly stupid as this:

In a chat with The Hollywood Reporter¬†(via /Film, Lucas said, “The controversy over who shot first, Greedo or Han Solo, in Episode IV, what I did was try to clean up the confusion, but obviously it upset people because they wanted Solo [who seemed to be the one who shot first in the original] to be a cold-blooded killer, but he actually isn’t. It had been done in all close-ups and it was confusing about who did what to whom. I put a little wider shot in there that made it clear that Greedo is the one who shot first, but everyone wanted to think that Han shot first, because they wanted to think that he actually just gunned him down.”

Even if Han didin’t shoot first, the correct decision is to realize that the fan base believes he did. That once you put Han Solo the character out there for the world to see you no longer have the freedom to just tinker with the image of a character who is largely responsible for your wealth. Lets be honest, nobody gives a crap about Luke… Just stop digging the hole Lucas. Nobody is ever going to believe Han didnt shoot first, so just give it a rest.

That’s yo Star Wars Old Hat Garbage.

George says that Greedo always shot first, the SE just clarified it. George is officially trolling Star Wars fans.

I’m convinced that George has no idea who the hell shot first…. He’s just stoking the god damn flames of nerd rage

  4. I’m pretty sure that I Greedo didn’t shoot at all in the theatrical cut but hell if Greedo did shoot then he couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn.

George , as it turns out, is a serious anti-gun believer and a hard core liberal. He did this because it better fits his beliefs that people do not have a right to self defense. I mean seriously…shooting someone who has a gun pointed at you makes you a “cold blooded killer”? In a liberal anti-self defense mindset…yea, in the rest of the free thinking world…no.
