Fan Expo 2012: Walking Dead Panel with Jon Bernthal & Norman Reedus

This panel begins with Jon discussing how drawn he was to the role of Shane when he initially read the script for The Walking Dead, and shares his insights on several aspects of the series.

Jon also discusses his role in Frank Darabont’s new television project “L.A. Noir” as well as Martin Scorsese’s new film “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

Norman Reedus, meanwhile, finally arrived for the panel about 20 minutes into it and shares his thoughts on playing a character that wasn’t in the comics, Daryl’s character development in the absence of his abusive brother Merle, and the potential for conflict if and when they will be re-united.

Norman also relates his complete lack of formal acting schooling and humorously claims that his acting career started because he got drunk at a party and began yelling at everyone.

The Batmobile Documentary

Here is a small sneak peak at the Batmobile Documentary that will be coming to Blu-ray and Digital Download this 2012 Holiday Season. Kind of weird when they said “Batman has no superpower, he could be killed, he has to have a vehicle that is a weapon.” While that is all fine and dandy, where was the Batmobile in his fight against Bane? Regardless Batmobile Documentary , will you watch it?

Mortal Kombat: Legacy On iTunes

Mortal Kombat: Legacy (2011-) is a live-action web series premised upon the popular video game franchise. Backed by Warner Brothers, it has perhaps the highest production value of any web series to date — seriously, this isn’t some homemade shit.

Why talk about something that’s a year old? The answer is distribution. Most of us associate web series with free, and Mortal Kombat: Legacy is no exception, though the first (and currently the only) season is now also available for purchase on iTunes. We’re talking $14.99 for 9 episodes and a featurette or $3.49 per episode — a bit steep for a series you can watch on YouTube and whose episodes range from 8-13 minutes in duration. A second season is in the works and perhaps this is some sort of transitional period to a paid model.

The bottom line is that if you’re a fan of the franchise and haven’t seen the series, you should, and you now have a choice as to whether or not you want to pay for it.

New Dark Knight Returns Part 1 Trailer

Above is the animated adaptation of Frank Miller’s classic Batman Graphic Novel. Which was said to have revolutionized the “graphic novel”. Robocop’s Peter Weller voices Batman in this film, and it will be available for Blu-ray Combo Pack & DVD and download on Sept. 25, 2012. Personally, I don’t love this story as much as others do, however, I like to watch Batman when he is badass, and I find Batman to be quite badass in this story. For more Batman, check out my list of favorite Batman novel/stories and listen to our thoughts on the Dark Knight Rises.
