TYG Plays Lewd and Obscene

Recently a few of the members at TYG decided to get together and play Lewd and Obscene, and thought; why not record it and share it with the world? It turned out to be a lot better than we expected, given that fact that most of us are very rusty when it comes to this sort of thing now. Hit that “Read more button” for some written thoughts, and a video about Lewd and Obscence the card game.

Tabletop Thursday: Iron Kingdoms Playtest

You know it’s TYG when, thanks to some technical difficulties, we end up having to post the first installment of our new occasional tabletop and boardgame series, Tabletop Thursday, on Friday.

In this installment, we playtest the new Iron Kingdoms RPG by Privateer Press. As you’ll see in the video, we ended up liking the game quite a bit. We particularly liked it in comparison to D&D 4E, which most of us have also played.

We hope you enjoy the video, and stay tuned for more installments of Tabletop Thursday on random Thursdays in the future (or Fridays, as the case may be!).

A Game of Thrones The Board Game Second Edition Expansion – A Dance with Dragons

After finally being able to play a few games of this new expansion I decided to make a video of the game contents, and what I thought of the new house cards and scenario now available for the Game of Thrones Board Game.

Cards Against Humanity Gameplay & Review

Most of the guys from the site got together to play Cards Against Humanity. We explain how the game is played, play an entire game, and then give our thoughts. Cards Against Humanity was financed through the website Kickstarter, exceeding its funding goal by nearly 300% by the project’s end on January 30, 2011.”

The game is available for $25.00, or for free at

Sedition Wars Kickstarter from Studio McVey

Sedition Wars is a new game by Studio McVey that is in the last days of its Kickstarter. So far a truly tremendous amount of money has been raised for the game. From some of the images available for viewing on the Kickstarter page itself as well as the videos it looks like This game is going to be outstanding. A boardgame for two players with Studio McVey designed pieces sounds pretty much like heaven. You can view the kickstarter here but there is only three more days to go. for 80 bucks you get the game shipped to you. Game will retail for 90 dollars when released to the public. Frankly its a good deal just for the figures.

June’s Kingdom Death Releases Outed!

The Survivor Pinup, Must Say I Love the Spear and Tribal Look!

June’s Release line up features a lot of safe bets, and a lot of Kissed by Fire Survivor Models. I was wondering when the next bout of releases from KD would be coming as the gap seemed to be quite long this time. Considering the release of the Experiment of Death, and the Beyond the Wall Diorama I’m willing to forgive in this case. No idea what I’m talking about? Hit the Jump to Find out!

Small World Realms – Taking Pre-Orders

When the original Small World game came out, and I read about it, I was pretty sold on the idea. A bunch of fantasy races with random special abilities, and best of all no dice. (Dice and I do not get along, ever) Seriously, I stupidly didn’t even read a single review, I just went out and bought it. Luckily, the game was awesome, and really all subsequent ‘expansions’ for the game have been great. My personal favorite is the free one that adds tunnels to the game. For me, this improved the playability of this game 10 fold. With a new Realms expansion on the horizon, I thought I would take this time to go over the additions it will be adding to an already great game.

Review: Metal Gear Solid Risk

I am really sorry to start the review like this, but I am not going to be covering the rules, or the ‘how to play’ aspect of Risk. If you do not know how to play Risk and want to learn then please visit here. This review will be covering the ‘new’ things Metal Gear Solid Risk (MGS Risk) brings to the table, and what I thought of it overall.

Battles of Westeros: Baratheon Expansion Announced!

Fantasy Flight Games produces a lot of Game of Thrones products. From the Board-game to the Card-game you would think they have all their bases covered. They also produce a third game which is more of a war-game/board-game hybrid, which seems pretty similar to Dust Tactics. If I’ve peaked your interest more after the jump.
