AVENGERS Vs X-MEN. It’s Coming…

For the first time since Marvel Entertainment’s release of Civil War, we see the two very popular franchises in comic history come together in an epic battle for the future of Earth. In a few short weeks Marvel will release issue #1 of a 12-issue series which will bring together some of the worlds greatest known super heroes in one epic battle: AVENGERS Vs X-MEN.

Marvel has brought together a top-selling team of comic book authors and artists in the industry today to work on this epic project; Authors like: Brian Michael Bendis (Avengers, Ultimate Spiderman), Jason Aaron (X-men, Hulk), Jonathan Hickman (Fantastic Four, Shield), Ed Brubaker (Captian America), and Matt Fraction (Fear itself/ Defenders); and Artists like: John Romita Jr., Oliver Coipel, and Adam Kubert.

According to Marvel;

“the Avengers and X-Men have learned that the all-powered embodiment of both death and rebirth known as the Phoenix Force is on a crash course for Earth… and it needs a new host to unleash its immeasurable power. But what is the shocking decision tied to the Phoenix’s return that will pit the Avengers against the X-men? And when good friends become bitter enemies, what does this mean for the future of the Marvel Universe?” (Marvel.com)

With shipping said to be twice monthly, expect this 12-issue limited series to be available in stores everywhere on April 4 2012.

Marvel has stated that there will be no equal ground and only one side will be victories. Who is it going to be? Avengers? X-Men? AND what tricks will Marvel pull out?
