Fan Expo 2012: Walking Dead Panel with Jon Bernthal & Norman Reedus

This panel begins with Jon discussing how drawn he was to the role of Shane when he initially read the script for The Walking Dead, and shares his insights on several aspects of the series.

Jon also discusses his role in Frank Darabont’s new television project “L.A. Noir” as well as Martin Scorsese’s new film “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

Norman Reedus, meanwhile, finally arrived for the panel about 20 minutes into it and shares his thoughts on playing a character that wasn’t in the comics, Daryl’s character development in the absence of his abusive brother Merle, and the potential for conflict if and when they will be re-united.

Norman also relates his complete lack of formal acting schooling and humorously claims that his acting career started because he got drunk at a party and began yelling at everyone.

Fan Expo 2012: From Gaming Enthusiast To Gaming PR with Jay Acevedo of Ubisoft Canada

Jay Acevedo, PR Manager for Ubisoft Canada, hosts a panel titled “Why Not? From Gaming Enthusiast to Gaming PR” at Fan Expo 2012.

In his panel, Jay discusses his transition from a Gaming Enthusiast writing about videogames for blogs as a hobby, to becoming PR Manager for Ubisoft Canada. He emphasizes the importance of dedication and originality as central themes in distinguishing oneself as an up and coming videogame blogger, writer, podcaster or Youtube video maker from the many others out there pursuing similar projects.

Jay also took a variety of questions from the audience on a wide range of topics and ended his panel with a little trivia contest for some giveaways.

All in all the panel was very educational for anyone interested in breaking into the videogame industry as an amateur journalist (like us, for example).

Please Note: Some footage of off-topic questions was edited out of my footage, and there is an interruption in one of Jay’s answers because like the rank amateur I am, I was forced to swap batteries in the middle of one of his answers.

Fan Expo 2012: An Interview with Toronto Batman

We caught up with Toronto Batman and Toronto Robin at Fan Expo 2012 where he told us about upcoming Toronto Batman videos included Robin’s Night Out, Toronto Batman vs. the UK, and a review of an Android phone.

He also revealed his plans to crash the Toronto International Film Festival this year, as well as challenging Toronto Spiderman to a rematch after losing their first battle, promissing to hang up the cowl if he losesl.

I say he told us because this was less of an interview and more of him grabbing our mic and saying whatever he wanted…

TYG had the chance to get some hands-on playtesting experience with Halo 4 multiplayer. Sorry for the marginal sound but technically we were only supposed to take pics and we would have lost all plausible deniability if we had a hand carried mic out!
