DmC: Devil May Cry – Gameplay @ Playstation Canada’s 2012 Holiday Preview Event

At the Sony Playstation Holiday Preview Event on October 3, 2012 we were able to get some hands on experience with the upcoming DmC: Devil May Cry and bring you an extended look at gameplay.

Please note: We filmed this video in a wider shot as per the request of Capcom’s representative, and used pan/crop in post-production to focus on the game footage itself.

Tabletop Thursday: Iron Kingdoms Playtest

You know it’s TYG when, thanks to some technical difficulties, we end up having to post the first installment of our new occasional tabletop and boardgame series, Tabletop Thursday, on Friday.

In this installment, we playtest the new Iron Kingdoms RPG by Privateer Press. As you’ll see in the video, we ended up liking the game quite a bit. We particularly liked it in comparison to D&D 4E, which most of us have also played.

We hope you enjoy the video, and stay tuned for more installments of Tabletop Thursday on random Thursdays in the future (or Fridays, as the case may be!).

You Are Here: X-Men Master – Gordon Smith

X-Men Master: Gordon Smith is the latest special exhibition at the TIFF Bell Lightbox and spotlights make-up and special effects guru Gordon Smith’s work on the X-Men films. The exhibit highlights the dramatic and innovative work that went into realizing the X-Men on the big screen using pieces saved by Smith himself over the course of production.

We jumped at the chance to cover it for you guys, knowing how many of our readers are fans of the X-Men and would be interested in a free exhibit filled with pieces saved from the making of the films by Gordon Smith himself.

Review: Cut the Rope for Android (Reviewed on the Nexus 7)

Hey guys, today I’m taking a look at Cut the Rope for Android. There are many reviews of the iOS versions of this game around, but I haven’t seen nearly as many for the Android version, and particularly not on the Nexus 7, so I thought I would contribute.

Let me know what you guys think of the new video review format!

Fan Expo 2012: Cosplay Masquerade (Part 2/3)

One of the largest events every year at Fan Expo is the Cosplay Masquerade: A damn near three hour extravaganza of cosplayers, costumes, and corny jokes by the announcer. The masquerade is a cosplay stage show and competition where Fan Expo attendees get 15-30 seconds on stage to impress the crowd, and the judges, with their costuming talent and vie for awards in various categories.

TYG was fortunate enough to be able to cover the complete event, and we will be bringing it to you in three ~50 minute videos (uploaded in 720p because the 1080 versions are simply too big).

This is the second part, the third will follow soon!
