Kick-Ass Will Be A Trilogy

Renown comic book writer Mark Millar let is slip in an interview with IGN, that the Kick-Ass movie was originally designed to be a trilogy.

“On the Kick-Ass 2 movie, set to be directed by Jeff Wadlow, Millar was also hesitant to reveal names but stated that there will be two new actors joining the cast. He did let slip, however, that there will be a movie trilogy. “Matthew [Vaughan, director of Kick-Ass] and I always talked in Star Wars terms – we had this shorthand… Seriously, the trilogy of Kick-Ass movies is exactly structured like Star Wars and like, planned from the beginning.”

I just hope that they don’t try and milk it with terrible prequels, sorry I have a deep seeded hate for Star Wars. Regardless, I do love that Mark Millar wants to make a Saturday morning cartoon, I loved waking up Saturday morning and watching X-Men, Beast Wars or Mummies Alive. The quality of Saturday morning cartoons in terms of awesomeness have gone down. Give the kids something good to watch Mark!!

Arrow TV Series Promo Video

So CW finally agrees to take on the new Green Arrow Series Arrow, though dates as to its première or where it will be placed on the fall schedule, have not yet been arranged. What we do know is it will be scheduled for the fall 2012-2013 listing if all goes well. Note that it stems from the same creative minds as Smallville which ended up nose diving in its 3rd year and for another 7 years following. Lets hope they learn from Smallville and not make these mistakes again.

‘Battleship’ director Peter Berg goes on a crazy rant during an interview about his movie

Probably one of the best interviews about a movie EVER

Jason Holt…Holt doesn’t sound jewish.” This is priceless. I am now looking forward to the movie Battleship, because this guy directed it.

War-Game Wednesday Episode 9: More Dust Warfare and Second Opinions.

Were back with another episode of War-Game Wednesday. Instead of just posting a video this week we decided to also address some of the concerns we’ve received regarding the Dust Warfare Rules. As much as we here at TYG like Dust Warfare it is far from a perfect game and there are a few stumbling blocks that we should focus some attention on. Click the jump to read more and see the video of this weeks game.

Rumor: Snake, Cole, and Kevin Butler to be in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

When I first saw word of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, I immediately thought that there would be no way Sony could top Nintendo in the crazy mascot fighter department.  My skepticism came from me assuming that the game would be full of characters like Kratos and Nathan Drake rather than some of the more obscure characters Sony has been affiliated with.  I became less skeptic when I learned that Parapa and Sly Cooper would be featured in the game but I still did not really feel very excited about the whole ordeal; however, if this voice cast list on imdb is more than just hearsay then I can easily say that I would be incredibly excited for the game.

The imdb listing for PlayStarion All-Stars currently lists David Hayter (Solid Snake), Eric Ladin (Cole MacGrath), and Jerry Lambert the man who plays Kevin Butler in the more recent Sony PlayStation ads.

While its safe to assume that Both Snake and Cole would be playable characters I find myself being more excited at the potential to have Kevin Butler as a playable character.  Hopefully this listing is true and Kevin Butler can join the games cast of playable characters.

Three Games I Wish Existed

I am not a game developer, the closet I came to developing a game was back in high school where I made a tank game using turing. It was a pretty simple game, player one was on the top of the screen and player two was on the bottom. Using the arrow keys (p2) or A,D, keys (p1) you move side to side and hit the up arrow (p2) or W key (p1) to fire; three hits your dead. It was like sideways Pong minus the fact that you wanted to dodge the little white square coming towards you. It got me an A in the class, but really it didn’t do much else for me. Anyways, I’m a bit of a thinker, dreamer and idea maker and I wish there were some games that existed. The beautiful thing about the internet and digital distribution is that there are a ton of games made by ‘the little guys’ that I or others may not have heard of. Thus, if I have mentioned a game that already exists, please let me know.. because I want to play it!

Halo 4 Box Art Revealed

Late last night Microsoft send out e-mails to a number of Xbox Live members titled “Your piece of the Halo 4 puzzle”  which each contained a small portion of the official Halo 4 box art.  It did not take very long for the community at Neogaf to put the pieces together and reveal the full box art of the game.

Aside from looking kinda cool the art itself doesn’t really reveal much of anything about the title, but hey were close enough to E3 so fans of the series should not have to wait to long to learn more. Hit the Jump to see the full image. Read the rest of this entry »

Review: Game of Thrones Season 2 – A Man Without Honor

TYG breaks down the 7th episode of Game of Thrones Season 2. It was a little slow, but important things did happen. A Man Without Honor was such a perfect title for this episode, but which man earned the most dishonorable award? Hit the Jump to read the opinions of G, Mike and Lorenzo, who are all readers of the books.
